Hello, we are EDENPARK! We are from York, PA! We perform a pleasantly blended style of music, derived from many genres, but settling snuggly under the melodic hardcore punk genre. The punctuation mark at the end of this sentence is an exclamation point!
Why this name?
We settled on the bandname during a very friendly-turned very, VERY violent game of Rock, Paper, Scissors! while sitting in a restaurant who's name sound strikingly similar to ours. I'm speaking, of course, about Willy's House of Steer Fixuns.
Do you play live?
We play live like all hell! We’ve played as far away as Chicago, Boston and Virginia Beach. We love to play out and are always looking for new and farther away places to play *wink-friggin-wink*, so hook us up! As far as special moments, well, they’re all special! We do it for the kidz!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet changes the industry some, but oh well. A band providing a few free .mp3s isn’t bad because the promotion isn’t going to hurt them. Now when a whole release is out there to download against the band’s will, that is suck. But really, it should just make the band try that much harder to make their product worth buying! OMG lOL!!1
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
You bet your hot buns! We’d love to have somebody pay us to tour and release music!
Band History:
Here’s our shortened band history: Singer tricks unsuspecting bass player into joining his band. Band goes through 13 line up changes and stops sucking after 10 years.
Your influences?
We’re a pretty group of guys...Err, pretty DIVERSE group of guys, so we have a ton of musical influences. Anywhere from hardcore to rap to R&B to folk to grindcore to thrash to traditional. There are, however, two shared musical interests between us, and that’s a complete love for punk rock in it’s truest form, and a complete hate for country music in any form.
As far as who influences us, well there really aren’t any bands or artists that do. However, in an attempt to gain some exposure when somebody on here does a search for a band or artist, I will list as many bands that I can think of that we like. And what’s more, it’ll mostly be in alphabetical order because I’m gonna use my mp3 player as a reference: All Else Failed, An Albatross, As The Sun Sets, Assuck, Avail, Backstabbers Inc., Bane, Billy Ocean, Bloodlet, Bodies In The Gears of The Apparatus, Bonnie Tyler, Bucket Full of Teeth, Burn It Down, Burned Up Bled Dry, Cave In, Cephalic Carnage, Charles Bronson, ChoExperiment, Chris Thomas King, Circle Takes The Square, City of Caterpillar, Codeseven, Curl Up And Die, Cursive, Daughters, Death Wish Kids, Devo, Dillinger Escape Plan, Discordance Axis, Dismemberment Plan, Ed Gein, Elliott, Elton John, Endation, F.O.D., F.Y.P., Five Minute Freakshow, Fordirelifesake, Found Dead Hanging, Good Clean Fun, Goratory, Harry McClintock, Hewhocorrupts, HiJack Jupiter, Ink & Dagger, Ion Dissonance, James Love Jackson, John Hartford, Joshua Fit For Battle, Jud Jud, Kill The Man Who Questions, Lack of Interest, Los Crudos, Love Lost But Not Forgotten, Mara ‘akate, Nasum, Nice Cream & The Creamy Sparkles, On The Might of Princes, Orchid, Outkast, Pig Destroyer, Pinback, Pop Will Eat Itself, Premonitions of War, Prince, Quadiliacha, Ralph Stanley, Refused, Richard Marx, Rick Astley, Romantic Gorilla, Rush, Sadaharu, Snapcase, SPAZZ, STACK, System of A Down, The Afterglows, The Assailant, The Assistant, The Bled, The Boils, The Cox Family, The Degenerics, The Dickies, The End, The Expectorated Sequence, The Fairfield Four, The Great Redneck Hope, The Human Timebomb, The iCollide Orchestra, The Locust, The Piss Shivers, The Red Chord, The Roots, The Soggy Bottom Boys, The Ultimate Warriors, Torn Apart, Twelve Tribes, Tyranny of Shaw, Via Satellite, Violent Society, Yacoepsae, You & I...
