A hard workin', hard playin' band from Franklinton, NC. Aggressive and unique our band will take you on a ride you will never forget. Gritty guitars and hellified rhythms with undertones of the blues, metal and rock'n'rock. A heavy duty experience in music never seen or heard before.
Why this name?
One of our band members (Kody G.) noticed that most of our covers were classic rock songs. He stated "We are the last of a dyin breed!". This is true because not many of the bands our age were into playing the music our parents grew up on.
Do you play live?
We love playin' live. We've played numerous venues like Holidaz, Sunset Saloon, Hunter Hill Pub, Lincoln Theatre and other places in between. There ain't nothing better than getting up on stage and doing what you love to do!
Band History:
Dyin Breed started as just myself (Chris Dement), Joey Kearney and Kody Goodwin getting together to play music on the weekends. We decided after a couple of monthsof jamming together that we wanted to turn this into a real band. Before we could really get started we needed a bass player and we didn't have to look far. Chris Barham (Kody's cousin) joined to add the last piece to Dyin Breed.
Our focus at first was learning covers so we could get our feet wet palaying at local bars. During our first show we threw some original music in to see the crowd's reaction. We were amazed. Thanks to this we have stayed focused on original music ever since.
We have strived to get better with every performance and every new song. We have done nothing but eat, sleep and breathe our upcoming album, "Below Nash". We hope it does justice to the amount of love and time we put into our music.
