Band/artist history
I started writing songs when I was about eight, which my mother would dutifully transcribe in order to get me to go to sleep! Since then variety has been the spice of my musical life: I played in high school rock bands, got interested in jazz and classical music, studied both in college, got a very "useful" Master's degree in music composition, played in the NYC improv/electronic scene in the early 90s, formed a virtual bandDogs Gone Fishingon MP3.com, turned it into a non-virtual duo that performed around the Long Island, NY area, moved to Maine, now performing in the Portland area as a solo singer/songwriter.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Performing live in the greater Portland, ME area.
Your musical influences
Geez - just about everything... Jim Hall jazz guitar sound meets Radiohead alienation through a John Gorka new folk filter while caught listening to Exile on Main Street, getting drunk with Tom Waits and Wilco and dreaming about Lucinda Williams and Joni Mitchell dancing to P Funk.
What equipment do you use?

Well, Well here we are in a New Year -- rather busy December with family events and fighting the flu and all. Haven't really played any shows since the Kerry benefit. Good news is that the CD is progressing apace - with one more percussion track to go, then mastering - should be looking at a release by valentines day - great present for your sweetie, I promise! ---DK
