The solo artistry of "Burdun" with lil sis "Dee" on backup vocals creates an awesome sound. Saluting to the brothers and sisters, never forgetting their grassroots.

Band History:
Dogz Lyfe@
Dogz Lyfe is a solo artist, "Burdun" who grasps the mind, pulls on the heart, and lets the soul flow with the rap lyrical ryhmes. Dogz Lyfe came from a necessity of letting the inner self be unleashed unto the paper and then through voice be released with beat rythmic music. The duo consists of the stage presence of Robin Favel (22) of Piapot First Nation’s, a.k.a “Burden”. “Burdun” has been rapping for 12 years. Joining Dogz Lyfe this year is his little sister "Dee" on back up vocals of R&B.
Like all great artists, their story began December 2002 when they first met. In January 2003 they officially started working together, going to ‘rap battles’, ‘open mic’ nights around the city, and then making it to the Crow Hop Cafe on Feburary 27/03 at the Cultural Exchange. When Dogz Lyfe hit the stage closing down the show for the night every body in the place was bouncing to a new beat and were left to anticipating Dogz Lyfe’s next arrival to the Crow Hop Cafe on March 6/03 at Cafe Ultimate. They gave a great performance March 6 and again left the crowd in awe struck wonder. Dogz Lyfe gave such a great performance that White Buffalo Youth Lodge in Saskatoon required their performance for the “White Buffalo Youth Lodge Empowerment without Boundaries Conference on March 13/03. On March 15/03, Dogz Lyfe officially signed on to Lightening Strike Agency@ and officially began their new careers. Dogz Lyfe returned to Saskatoon on March 20/03 with the Crow Hop Cafe at the Odeon Night Club. The show was a huge success for Dogz Lyfe their poster signing after their performance was proof enough.
Their new CD "Leaving An Infamous Burden” has been finished and the new album "Ransom" just got out of studio and will be off to the press for mass production.
When asked to produce a demo CD for Regina’s 100 years Celebration, Dogz Lyfe dug deep and produced it by themselves at their studio in 24 hrs of work.
As their agent I believe Dogz Lyfe offers more than just a label of being a stereo typical hip-hop rapper. Burdun offers an understanding to the youth and old alike what life can be like on the street while drinking with ghosts and living in a danger zone. Dogz Lyfe can take a crowd and make them listen while blowing their minds with lyrical rap.
The demo CD has been done purposely in a voice feed back mode dedicated in memory of Krysten Nicole Whitecap, 1981-2003. In our youth of today a silent killer is taking our children away and nobody speaks of it, suicide is not a stranger to First Nations people. When a person leaves this world in such a way it is written in a book and nobody hears of that number again, this time is taken to help Krysten’s voice be heard through Dogz Lyfe’s demo CD. Krysten may your voice be heard.
Your influences?
Burden:"I listening to anybody who sings the real street, relates the street and gets respect from the street while making it big...."
Favorite spot?
Burden:"I could go anywhere but Regina is my home, no matter where you go, you always could go home"
