What do I need to sell MP3 downloads?
All you need is an approved mp3 band account with at least one mp3. To get paid you need a PayPal account (see also below).

What can I sell? Only single songs?
You can sell single songs as MP3 downloads or multiple songs as MP3 albums

What's an MP3 album?
You can compile any of your songs and sell this compilation as MP3 album. Any song can be on multiple MP3 albums.

Can I sell other people's music?
Absolutely not! If you try to sell songs which infringe any copyrights at all we will cancel the account, withhold any sale profits, notify the original copyright holder and take legal actions.

What about security?
Security is the key element in transactions on the internet. Our site is using the most advanced security technique. All financial transactions run on a secure server, key information is encrypted. No credit card information is stored on our server.

Can I sell my downloads with a higher bitrate than 128kbps?
If you have a VIP account you can upload your mp3 songs in a higher bitrate. The download we sell will then actually have the higher bitrate.
Standard accounts are limited to the 128kbps bitrate.

What happened to the 'old' store where I sold actual CDs?
If you signed up for the 'old' eCommerce before, it's still available. We don't accept any new registrations for that service, though. But you can still sell your CDs with the 'old' eCommerce and also sell MP3 downloads with this new service.

Is this service free? Do I need a credit card?
It's free to sign up for this service, no credit card is needed. We only take a cut from the profit.

How much do I get paid?
You keep 70% of the sales price. So if you sell a song/album for $9.99 you keep $6.99.

How do I get paid?
We pay once a week with PayPal, so you need a (free) PayPal account. If you don't have one yet you can sign up here.
They offer different kinds of accounts, the 'Personal Account' is sufficient.

Sorry, you need to have a PayPal account to get paid. If your country is not on PayPal's country list you can not participate.

When do I get paid?
We pay once a week. Usually we wait till your balance reaches your minimum payout that you set yourself.

Can I set my own sales price?
Not exactly. But we give you a wide range of price settings. Singles can be sold for prices as low as 0.25 USD while album prices start at 2.99 USD.

Where can I see how much money I made?
You can see your balance online at any time on your MP3 Store admin page.

Yes, you can see those at any time on your MP3 Store admin page.

How can I buy an MP3 song or album?
To buy an MP3 song or MP3 album you need to fill your SoundClick account with your credit card or PayPal. Then you can use the balance of your online account to buy single MP3 songs or a whole MP3 album. The amount is then charged against your account balance.
With every purchase you get a download link to download the actual MP3. The link is valid for 24 hours.

Do I need a credit card?
No, not necessarily. You can use a VISA, MasterCard, or AmEx card. But we also accept PayPal.

Do I have to pay a monthly fee?
Not at all. You fill your SoundClick account with a one-time charge. There are no monthly fees, no membership fees, or any sort of recurring subscription fees.

Can I share the download link?
Sorry, no.

For how long does the download link stay active?
The link stays active for 24 hours.

In what format can I download the song(s)?
The songs are in mp3 format. You can see the download bitrate before you buy any MP3 song or MP3 album.

Can I transfer the downloaded song onto my iPod?
You can put the song on your iPod just like any other standard mp3 file.

Does my account expire at any time?
The account expires after one year. If you refill your account at any time, the timer is reset and you have another full year to use up your account.
