Austin Killey, known as DJ ShoX, has made his way higher and higher in his musical evolution. Starting with Acid Music at age 13, he has shown an interest in his production of music and a few remixes, always getting better and better and learning from his errors. His first song, Elements of a Party, was created in the summer of 2001, accompaning his first album, Elecktrick. It wasn't much, but it was a step forward. From then on, he has remixed BT, Lionel Richie, and Nsync.
Do you play live?
Not currently, sorry.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has only improved the health of good music today, despite what record labels believe. Their inability to adapt to the massive changes going on online are what is to blame. Independent and rare music has never been so easy to find today or to share.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If one does come along and offer me a contract, I'm sure I highly would agree to one. With better equipment and newer technology, I know I can make much more organic and emotional electronic music than I am now.
Your influences?
BT BT BT BT BT
Brian Transeau, also known as BT, is my greatest inspiration for entering the music production life. If it wasn't for him, I would not be here now, enjoying the pleasures of making me people dance to my music. His music has touched my soul and I could not do anything without him.

Favorite spot?
As of right now, my hometown of Port Washington, Wisconsin. Only about 10,000 people, but it's a very beautiful portside town. Other than that, I WANT TO GO TO ITALY!!! :P

For those interested in making music, here's a few pointers.
When it seems like you're stuck, never EVER give up. You can always pull through it, there's always a way. Always transform negative criticism into positive by working on areas that seem weak or need more work on. And finally, enjoy making music, you have a gift, use it.
