With his first production release "E.R.M" out 2nd September 2006, DJ AndyKB takes his game up a level and proves he can produce quality head nodding House Music as well as just mixing it!

DJ AndyKB's sound is a smooth mix of Funky and Electro flavoured House with elements of Breaks and Drum & Bass. His musical influences include the likes of Fatboy Slim, Faithless, ATFC, Massive Attack, System7, Moby, Kosheen, Prodigy, Tom Glide (aka Beatcrusher), Sean Biddle, DJ SS and Ray Keith to name but a few...

Things clicked when he started GCSE music in the early years, he was introduced to MIDI and software sequencing (Cubase) which he soon started playing with at home with an Atari STE, a basic MIDI keyboard and drum machine.

After leaving school he started buying records and going clubbing, you could say he was hooked on the music; clubs like Seduction (Lido Complex, Margate), Vivid (Paradise Club, Islington) and Lazerdrome (Peckham Rye) were big influences on his style.

Andy bought a set of 1210's and was now spending most of his time mixing and learning how it's done, London record shops like Blackmarket, Unity and City Sounds were his source of great vinyl. He started playing Drum & Bass sets on a couple of small pirate stations and private parties. House clubs like Leisure Lounge (Holborn) and Cafe De Paris (Leicester Square) were the next scene to party at, and are what he remembers most; he was converted but still loved the Drum & Bass sound.

The last 8 or so years has seen Andy learning more technical stuff due to his current job (Computer engineer), this has been a big boost to his understanding of the technology and only compliments the production process.

His typical selection would include Funky & Club House, hard(ish) House plus a few classic floor fillers that most would find hard to resist; currently you can find him entertaining listeners on The 4over4 Show (www.RauteMusik.fm) as well as gigs in and around London.
