Dirk P Stewart is a solo performer of his original material.Roots of Folk/Blues acoustic flavored and favored. Writing since 1972 only now willing to share. I do this for fun and enjoyment, my own therapy of sorts.

Why this name?
I was given my name at birth. The Band I am now working on is affectinatly known as "Stratocats" and we are rehearsing "Rattle Cab Blues" original material in the Blues/Rock genre.
Do you play live?
Kitchen Party's/Open Mic Nights/Songwriters Circle's are my preferred venues to get feedback from my songs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Drastic/Progressive/Positive...
Places like Soundclick are a great way to Network with so many other writer/performers like the "Bent Strings".
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

As you said, anything goes! I HAVE BEEN BUSY THIS SUMMER AND EARLY FALL BUT I DID WRITE AN ARRANGEMENT WITH A LYRIC TODAY. "Run All Night" it is a Rockin Blues number about running from who you are.
