Hello. My name is Digital Larry. I record music in my basement, usually by myself but sometimes other people contribute.Have you performed in front of an audience?Sometimes I have been known to play at open mikes with a friend but generally I don't play live. Maybe once a year I play at a party with the band I formed in college 20-something years ago.
Your musical influences
The first music I remember is Spike Jones. During the 60's I listened to lots of Beatles, Doors, Jimi Hendrix. In the 70's I listened to lots of Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull, Jean Luc Ponty and Return to Forever. Then I got into David Grisman, bluegrass, and acoustic string band music. In the 80's I started playing bass, mandolin and guitar, and started jamming with other people on rock and blues tunes. Also met some folks to play bluegrass and Celtic stuff. In the 90's I really got into Celtic Rock e.g. Fairport Convention and Ashley MacIsaac. Since then it's just been various combinations of all those influences going around and around.What equipment do you use?
