I welcome you to The Messiah of Electro Alternative Breaks - Decoding Jesus!
Why this name?
To confuse people or maybe shock those who are blind or close minded to the issues of life that are around us.
Do you play live?
Ofcourse I play live. I usually play at underground clubs or at raves. I love playing live, it gives me the opportunity to see how well people respond to Decoding Jesus's fat pounding beats! I believe that the only "real" special moment I have had is when I wear my leather kilt with no shirt ; showing off those gifts God gave me!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe it has. It just makes it much more easier for the consumer to purchase or download for free legal mp3's from the comfort of his or her home or work place, and for the industry to make much more profit through other conduits rather than just through record stores. At first the mp3 world was just a fun "college" thing to do, then becoming a problematic ecomic issue, and now it's a multi million dollar business that is still evolving. Dealing with music, it is "now" the way of the future!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I am signed as non exclusive artists/ remixers to Cleopatra and Hypnotic Records . But I would still sign with a major label if they believed in my music!
Band History:
Created in early 1998 by Edgar Montiel, Decoding Jesus is an experimental origination whose musical articulation testifies dexterous use of digital technology. Considering himself an audio surrealist, Edgar Montiel is indeed what he postulates. His work in progress is a fabulous production of Fat rhythmic and caustic noise that is routingly mistaken for fashionable dance music. Mention the word "Techno" and he will look hurt. Influenced by many Euro electronic bands like Depechemode,Duran-Duran, Nitzer-ebb, The Chemical Brothers, The Messiah and more, Decoding Jesus can trace its roots to these artist and still produce a sense of originality through his music. The musical articulation that Decoding Jesus has produced in the real of digital arrangement is considered aggressive and progressive as digits change from 0 to 1. Over some time, Decoding Jesus has ensued its own sound and has given this style of music its own epithet, and that is "Electro Alternative." Having a busy schedule , Decoding Jesus has found the time in sharing its talent with other performers and numerous record labels as well. Edgar is known in the underground scene as a prominent dj/remixer and as an underground performer that not only performs with great style but also with great ability. If any one is lucky in catching a Decoding Jesus performance, one can say that his pounding, Fat 909 rhythm can actually be felt and heard in 3D audio.
