We're essentially a two-man band: Professor Emcee Square and Pointy. We're also the "house" band on "It's Alive!" - a local television show in Pittsburgh which we write, produce, and star in (www.theitsaliveshow.com). On top of that, we're the organizing force behind Zombie Fest '08 (http://www.theitsaliveshow.com/zombiefest2008/home.htm), World Zombie Day, and we proudly hold the Guinness Book of World Records for Largest Zombie Gathering in October of '07 @ historic Monroeville Mall (where George Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" was filmed). Not bad for a couple of idiots.

We're also big in Germany.
Why this name?
We ran through a few different names, some of which we may use as aliases in the future, but DEATHMOBILE seemed to be just stupid enough to convey the sheer mass of our gigantic balls coupled with our utter lack of seriousness.
Do you play live?
Yup. Our live shows are never the same twice, despite our backing band being an iPod. Last show we did, we iced the room by improvising a song from scratch for about 10 minutes. Made it up on the spot. Who does that?
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Completely. No more usurious (look it up) parasitic industry toll-booths. Far fewer ways for you to get gypped outta what's yours. It's beyond goodness.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only under extremely stringent (read grossly in our favor) conditions. No "baby band" bullshit contracts, no 360 wrapper deals, that's for goddamn' sure! The days of the wide-eyed artist getting ass-raped by the industry sharks are pretty much over, except for the very, very naive.
Band History:
Prof and I (Pointy) have been working together off and on since Martin Van Buren was President. The TV show (www.theitsaliveshow.com) really started out as an excuse to play some music on television. Since then the show has grown and branched out into live events, recording, commercial spot production, charity work, and Guinness Book of World Records for Largest Zombie Gathering in 2006 & 2007. In 2008, we're putting together World Zombie Day with the participation of over 50 cities from around the world! DEATHMOBILE's debut CD was released on Halloween 2007 and is available @ CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com).
Your influences?
I think you can sum us up by putting Primus, Rammstein, Living Colour, and Guns 'n' Roses with Buckethead in a blender with a succulent Zappa glaze, and Mr. Bungle as a wafer-thin after dinner mint.
Favorite spot?
Personally, I (Pointy) love NYC, The Prof is a fan of Napa Valley. I'm also a big fan of Ireland as a whole. Just plain awesome in every respect as far as I'm concerned...
Equipment used:
I use Carvin guitars (2 2008 DC727s, a 1989 DC150, a 1987 Ultra V, and a 1998? T60), an Engl Fireball, an Engl e530 preamp into a Mesa Stereo 2:50, and Geezer custom cabinets. Prof uses Ibanez & ESP guitars and Mesa amplification. We both use Line 6 PODxt Lives at times as well...
Anything else...?
New material soon. Define "soon"? Sorry, no can do. Pepperidge Farms remembers...
There appears to be some rocking going on...
Prof in purple...
Ethel Merman, everyone!
Oooooh, pretty!
Prof in amber...
