There is an old Bill Gaither song that says -
Loving God, Loving each other, Making music with my friends.
Well I know exactly what Bill is talking about here with this song by my dear friend in Christ Jacki Wheeler. I heard this song "Into the Sunset" on her site the other day and I just fell in love with it. This is another one of what I like to call Jacki's Jewels. Well I asked her if I could try some guitar stuff along with it and she was excited about the possibilities. Well I laid down a rythem track to go alone with Jacki's wonderful keyboard work. But it needed a good lead guitar added to this mix.The only person I know close by is my Son in Law Jason Mendez. I am honored not only to call him my Son in Law but also to be able to call him a friend. He has a wonderful gift of playing Guitar and is currently in the works of forming a Christian Band. Well with the talent of Jacki and Jason and myself I feel we pulled off a wonderful gift of music.
Thank you Jacki for the opportunity to play along with you on this.

Music is a wonderful gift given by God to uplift and bring Glory to His name.
My prayer is that as you listen to some of my music that your heart will be moved into His presence and that you will find peace and joy in God.
Music has always been a part of my life and something I enjoy doing. I may not be the best at it but I use what God has given me to help bring the Body of Christ closer to Him.
I am honered that you have taken the time to stop and listen to my songs.

Why this name?
I have no band name - it's just me...
Do you play live?
I lead worship every Sunday at my church. Singing live and leading a group of people in worship is one of the sweetest things ever. There is no greater joy
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has opened my eyes to the vast amount of talent in this world. There are some wonderful artist out there. just using there gifts without ever getting the approval of the world - but are just singing and playing for one reason - They love it...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
This would be a dream come true. If it was in the will of God for it to happen. For now I will just be directed by God to be used by Him for what ever service He needs. At this point in my live I am content to lead worship
Band History:
Music has always been a part of my life. From an early age our family was playing music. If you did not play something - you did not eat. well not really but we all were involved with some kind of music. My love for singing and guitar came in my high school days. My good long time friend and (dear brother in Christ) Jim, we would play for hours in his basement. As time went on I began to do concerts and singing with tape backgrounds. I would do concerts where ever I could, Singing at different churches and events. As time went by, married life changed some of the travels and we settled down. Now I - along with my family lead worship at our Church. We have done so for the past 20 years. It has been one of my greatest joys to be able to lead worship at look across the stage and see that as a family we are building up the Body of Christ.
Your influences?
My main influence has to be my Dad - He was a great man of God who love music with all his heart. His passion was the classics. but he enjoyed all kinds of music. I miss him so.... He was taken home at much to early of an age. I can only pray that I am hafe the man that he was..
other influences:
My Mom: My number one fan.. My prayer warrior. She is not afraid to tell me when something stinks..
My Wife: She is my light and guide.
My Children: There are my hope and joy. May the Christ I sing about be shown to you through me.
My Pastor - Don: Many songs have come from thoughts he has placed in my heart.
