2 new dadala CDs now available at CD Baby -
the 6th album and first CD release candy fish barrel and the dadala sampler with choice selections from dadala's first 5 albums:
‘candy fish barrel’ continues dadala’s mission of musical mutation and mind-bending blends, opening a portal to a surreal cyber-rustic dreamscape of altered perception where the familiar becomes strange and the odd becomes strangely familiar. Swampy soundscape, plasma-injected bossa nova, evocative trans-genre instrumentals and epic rumble-clatter lead your consciousness away from the mundane out to the periphery, with visceral entertainment along the way.
“dadala is the music you might hear if everyone in your neighborhood opened their windows with their radios on at full blast but every element came through crystal clear, or perhaps like the soup that might occur if your cd collection melted into a puddle all at once. In short, dadala is taking the musical collage to a new environment. Unlike most cutups that view their source material with a jaundiced eye towards deconstruction and a certain detached irony, dadala allows the listener to experience simple enjoyment of every element of the original music simultaneously.”
