I chose the name "Crown One" because my name is Steven Stapleton the II. I was named after my father and my father was named after Steven in the Bible. When I was growing I learned about Steven and how he was the first martyr and when he died the name "Steven" became defined as "Crowned One". So I took on the definition of my name as a stage name; but dropped the "ed" on the end of "Crown".

The name K.O.B.E. was inspired by some of my fan base here in Ohio. When they heard the music I was producing they started calling me the "King of Beats". Then I got a team together and we all produce beats now. Henceforth "K.O.B.E." was born into existence under the covering of Jesus Christ....

It, helps it, but it also hurts many artists in the process. Plagerism and copyright fraud are at an all time high because of the internet, but because the internet is so broad. It can help even the smallest artist contact the biggest companies.

I've been rapping since I was 8 and formed my own group then...so many years ago. LOL Now one of my former group memebers and friends, Marcus Massey, produces tracks with me and we've been working together musically 8 years later. It's been a long time coming and God has something in store for me.
