Corporation Of Corpse Stealers Biography June 2008 :

Hailing from Bristol, England are the Corporation of Corpse Stealers ( or C.O.C.S as it is also abbreviated ) they are a side project band by the core founder members of the bands ..Whores of Babylon.. ( Goth Metal ) & ..Soundisciples.. ( Experimental / Metal ). Formed during spring 2008, the musical direction of C.O.C.S is Thrash / Black / Death Metal, with blistering riffs, melancholic keyboards and death throw vocals.

So far the band has produced 2 songs ..The Dead Unburied.. which is kind of Thrash/Death Metal and ..The Last Winter.. which is more Thrash/Black/progressive Metal.

All the COCS music is currently being recorded and mixed by Gobz at his home built studio ..DeathPop Studio... Gobz also co-owns a commercial recording studio in Bristol along with Geoff Barrow of ..Portishead.. fame, that studio is called ..State of Art.. or ..SOA Studios...

Other Side project bands by Gobz & Joe are : Comedic Pirate punk tunes as ..The Drunken Pirates.. and Drum & Bass/Industrial/Goth stuff as ..W.O.B – The Noiselab Project...

Whores of Babylon have 2 previous CD releases and they are :

..Metropolis.. ( Candlelight Records ) – released 1994 & 1999 ..Kumari.. ( Skyfall Records ) – released 1996

Soundisciples also have 2 previous CD releases and they are :

..Undefined.. ( Peaceville / Music for Nations ) – released 1999 ..Audio Manifesto.. ( Peaceville / Snapper ) – released 2002

The main reason that there were no Whores of Babylon releases after 1996 is due to members appearing exclusively as Soundisciples.

After some years away from the music industry 2005 saw Gobz and Joe team up again to resurrect both bands and begin to upgrade all their equipment and work on new ideas.

Gobz also founded his own record label in 2007, initially as a vehicle to promote their own bands on digital networks. The side project bands are a way of expressing ideas that are outside of the usual genres governed by The Whores of Babylon & Soundisciples. The Whores and Soundisciples are currently signed to ..LoveGun Records.., Gobz own label. Gobz may be interested in licensing them to a larger label at some point. COCS and the other side project bands are new and are currently unsigned. All 5 bands have managed to generate interest from real fans and many editors of internet mp3 sites.
