Not too much to update, but I thought a little edit would be in order to prove that...ya know...I'm still alive and all that ;)

Thanks a ton (or is that tonne?) to all the people that have, in the past few months, ordered CD's, added my songs to their stations and otherwise provided some amazing and encouraging comments. It's really great to know that even though I may have temporarily lost enthusiasm...others of you out there, haven't! I'm still working (albeit slowly) on my first *proper* focused album, and rest assured you'll all be the first to know about it.

There is a new song which can be found at www.myspace.com/chimpspanner - I don't have the original file here at home but I'll upload it here when I get back to my setup.

Again, cheers all for the continued support!!
Do you play live?
Sadly not - I'm open to band offers though!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's fantastic - how else would someone in America, Australia, China, "x", know about me otherwise?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I've been advised against it....
Band History:
Well, um....my parents got me into music (being musicians themselves) as soon as I could walk and talk. I started on piano at around 4, and very shortly after got into MIDI sequencing (ahh I miss my old Atari!). In high school I taught myself the drums and got a kit. Had to sell it after a year or so to get a bass (and also cos it's kinda hard to practice without annoying people). Then when I was in college I got a guitar aaand I've stuck with it ever since! But I still keep up bass and drums, and keyboard of course.
Your influences?
My parents!! My dad is an amazing guitarist, songwriter, producer, etc. etc. and my mum is an incredible singer, songwriter, pianist. So that's kinda where I get my erm..."drive" from, rather unsurprisingly! Music I listen to, well at the moment, it's mainly metal, although there's very little around worth listening to. Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend, Sikth, Darkane, etc. I'm also a big lover of jazz/fusion.

More recently I've also gotten into a lot of electronic stuff; James Lavelle, Squarepusher, UNKLE, DJ Shadow and DJ Vadim.
Favorite spot?
Wherever I happen to have my guitars and studio!
Equipment used:
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ (old I know)
2GB Ram
60, 120, 250 and 400 GB HD's
x1950 Dual Head GFX...for dual screen when I get a 2nd monitor!

Line6 POD XT Pro with all model packs...word of advice, stay away from the Bass Pack. It blows.

Nuendo 3
Reason 4 (AMAZING)

Oh and of course, the most important stuff:

Ibanez RG1527
Ibanez RG7620
Schecter Stiletto Deluxe 5

On older recordings:

Epiphone Les Paul 7 String
Yamaha RGX420 Drop 6
Westbury Standard
Anything else...?
Nothing yet...
