I'm done playing shows. I record at home and do all the drums, guitars, and bass myself. I also love drinking beer! I hope you like my tunes. Let me know what you think.
Why this name?
Thats my name and I play music.
Do you play live?
I dont play live anymore. Maybe in the someday I'll play a coffee shop or something like that just for fun but I'll never forget playing my first real club gig. It was in Ballard, WA. about 20 minutes from Seattle at a club called the Ballard Firehouse. Me and my brother (bass player) were only 19 and we had to wait out back and could only go on stage during our 45 min. set time and then had to go right back out when the set was over. I was so nervous out back I smoked almost a whole pack of cigarettes while we waited. The show the show turned out to go so good that afterwards we decided to just walk off the stage right into the club. People started buying us drinks even the booking mng. did'nt seem to care. I'll always miss playing shows, for a guitar and musician its the best feeling there is, but so is being a husband and a dad. Hope you like my tunes!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's great. When you write tunes you want people to hear them, being able to put my tunes on here and have my fellow musicians hear them and talk about them inspires me to keep playing and writing the best I can.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
F@#k Yeah!!!
Your influences?
I started off playing Metal but now I love blues. SRV, Eric Clapton. I still play rock and alternative stuff I loved Rage Against the Machine and White Zombie. Thats all me and my band used to listen to when I was growing up also Alice in Chains. I think Jerry Cantrell is one of the best lead guitar players, Mike McCready too, and I'm not just saying that cause I'm from Seattle.
Favorite spot?
I'm from Washington but I just moved to Oregon to get away from the city and the traffic. I love it here in Salem. When you drive down the highway theres nothing but wide open fields on both sides. It's a great place to raise my son.
Equipment used:
I have 12 guitars. I'm not going to name all of them but for blues I have 2 Fender Strats and a Tele and for other stuff I have a Ibanez RG Custom, Schecter Black Hawk and a Jackson Dinky Reverse. I dont have any big amps or cabs, just my POD xt and a external sound card to my computer where I have a couple good drum programs and Acoustica Mixcraft for recording. So far this works pretty good for making MP3's but I'm always looking for something better so let me know what you use.
