Barbara George,
Her music, like her name, embodies a delicate balance of divergent influences. It is a nomenclature of earthly origins with saintly counterparts.
Why this name?
Barbara George, a name given at birth
Do you play live?
Lately I've been recording in the studio. But I look forward to playing live again soon. The larger the audience the more I like it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I like the fact the in an instant we can make our music available the world. I found out when I received a wonderful note from the head of Russian College Radio.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Make me an offer~Please!
Band History:
I have surrounded myself with a band of brilliant musicians; from the Bass Master General, Even Steven Levee, to Guitarist, Al Orlo, which I reveal in featuring. Just listen and you will know they are the best!
Your influences?
My Father's band was the Birmingham Pop Symphony Orchestra and my Mother hosted a live jazz radio program featuring some of the greatest musicians of the time. So my musical journey was richly blessed with diversity from the first lucky note!
Favorite spot?
I have a few; Manhattan, Maui, Sedona and Paris I'm sure there are more (but I haven't been to them yet)!
