This band along with performing on a stop on the 99' WARPED TOUR has been selected by ASCAP, TICKETMASTER and MUSICIAN MAGAZINE, out of 11000 + bands who entered, as one of the best indie-unsigned bands in the nation during the last TICKETMASTER SHOWCASE. Talk is cheap ... we prove ourselvs everyday.
Why this name?
Our band name Tin Can Jets came from what the pioneer astronauts like Chuck Yeager had for the first space capsules. We are from Florida's Space Coast, hence the name.
Do you play live?
We have performed at HARDROCK LIVE, HOUSE OF BLUES and your favorite neighborhood sub-shop. We've played baseball stadiums and ontop of septic tanks. We've played weddings but have yet to do a funeral, but we'd probably do that if we were asked.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No-our theory is to stay "down" to keep us on our toes of creativity.
Band History:
We're nobody from no where, coming to your town soon !
Your influences?
Influenced by MOM and a real fear of GOD, at any time our band could be inspired by earlier U2 , THE DOORS, JANES ADDICTION and Morris Day and the Time.
Favorite spot?
the G-spot
Equipment used:
For a band that recorded their first record on borrowed stuff, we're just happy to now have some of our own!
Anything else...?
Our motto, "Believe In Yourself and Other Will Too".
