The federal government and medical marijuana have been in conflict for quite some time now. In 2008 President Barrack Obama promised to not use federal funded law enforcement to crack down on medical marijuana in states where it is legal as long as they operate within state laws and regulations. In 2011, Barack Obama does a 180 and starts a senseless assault on Medical Marijuana dispensaries, growers and patients. A university wanted to do a legitimate research on the plant and see what kind of medical benefits the plant has and they were denied by the DEA and the Federal government.
During the summer of 2011, people tried to get Marijuana rescheduled from being a class 1 drug along with heroin to a class 2 drug so it could legally be prescribed by doctors, but that was also met with denial. The IRS have also started to involve them selves in the war against medical marijuana and on top of that, October 6th 2011 it was announced that all Medical Marijuana dispensaries in California, have to shut down or the owners and landlords will face federal prosecution and risk up to 40 years in prison. We the people are tired of being picked on, we are tired of being lied to and we are tired of this hypocrisy that goes on in the federal government. We're not blaiming Obama, we're not blaming Bush, we're blaming the real criminals in the DEA, the people in the Obama administration, the big corporate people of the alcohol, tobacco and pharmaceutical world and all the rest of the people who stand against Marijuana! Marijuana is one of the safest substances known to man and has never killed anybody, but yet it is met with extreme prejudice! IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE!! YES WE CAN(nabis)
