Cherokee version of the gospel song, Amazing Grace

In 1836 gold was discovered in the hills of Tennessee. The land was already owned by the Cherokee Indians but in the wisdom of the US government, these people had their land taken away and they were moved to Oklahoma. In the next year, many perished on this trip which is now known as the Trail Of Tears. They were not allowed to speak their own language or sing songs in their own lanaguage on this trip, but, for whatever reason, they were allowed to sing this song, in Cherokee, and it helped lift their spirits as the walked.
