My New Year's thoughts in song form...

There was a party, and there was nothing that interested me and beside the clubhouse there was swings and I listened to my music from my cd player and swung and watched the fireworks. You could smell the faint smoke from close houses. Smoke faeries message. I think someone was giving me bak all these memories of what happened during the year. and remembering the good times and people I've met. also bitter memories and then that led to hoping I won't be writing useless letters in 2004 like I did. Hoping for good things and looking forward a bit wiser each year. and keeping in mind the mistakes you made and learn from it, I think that's what they were trying to get across to me.

Sky is blossoming with fireworks, tonight,
Trailing, bleeding downwards to me,
Sitting alone on the swings,
To another year.

Letting the wind numb me to sleep,
Afterthoughts only exist after tonight.
Think out loud to the people I’ve met,
So good and so many,
Pushing them away, I was so un use to life then.

Track ten spinning round in me and the December air,
Wet grass and drifting smoke faeries
Giving me late advice in my ear,
Late advice dies at midnight,
When the big hand copies the small,
I’m relying on a brick wall,
To break my fall,
I can only hope for the better,
Instead of useless letters,
When people can tell it’s autumn,

Jump in the handwritten piles,
Letters not thrown away or filed,
Just sitting on my desk inking denial.
