I wrote this song the night after my friends wedding. After seeing a bunch of people I was once good friends with that have since drifted away.

Sorrow breathes its breath
And winds its tendrils round
Faces that can't mean what
Memories can be found.
Friendship is a lesser bond
Than the promises now made.
Responsibility and
Purpose rule the day.

Get born, Get learned, Get a job, Get dead.

A sea change, a break
A new direction home.
A family partitioned
Some left alone.
Stilted exchanges
When we meet again
Cause we were distracted
Never noticing the end.
