About the song

Ed is a Viet Nam Vet. I was an active anti-war protester. And somehow have ended up in the same place. Oh ... I don't mean geographically, but as regards our vision and hopes and everything else that goes along with that. Including a substantial amount of shared philosophy and perspective. No - we are not clones - there is also considerable that we differ on substantially ... but that don't amount to squat in the long run. We both have feelings about Viet Nam and considerations how we each personally might have done some things differently. And I guess back then there were no saints only sinners trying to get through it as best we could. And maybe there are some things worth remembering, and maybe there is some beauty that rises out of the ashes.

AN BINH PAINTERS GROUP and FRIENDS

worth checking out

A few friends here on multiply and a couple other sites are our welcome guests as we have you over for an informal impromptu. We are actually involved in a couple recording projects at various stages of development. Through the process we both have our hands on it at different to accomplish various tasks. Producing a production quality recording is not as simple as sitting in front of a microphone and just recording it. But sometimes that is exactly what we do. Not that this is for general release and distribution, but as a record of the creative process. Kind of like looking over an artists shoulder and watching them create a masterpiece from scratch. It doesn't just happen. And there is a process that moves through stages, and revisions until the artist finally says "It is finished".

We are not finished, we are in process and if you want to consider this looking over our shoulder's. It will probable not be the last time we post an unfinished excerpt from our lives but I think you will hear refinements on multiple levels as things develop.
