About the song
At Christmas time each year, my mind goes back to the Tsunami tragedy in Asia on 26th Dec. 04. The song was kindly named a "Track of the Year" in 2005 by Steve Gilmore.
It was the hardest song I've written (on the afternoon of the tragedy) probably as an outlet for the sorrow and despair that we all felt, but also I guess, in the hope that it would be strong enough to generate some funding to help those affected.
Based on the music from my existing song "Where's the hand?" it was kindly recorded and produced by Nad Sylvan of Sweden (Steve Gilmore's "Artist of the Year 2003) who I'd approached knowing what a dynamic and talented artist and producer he is.
I was thrilled that he agreed without any hesitation.
I feel the vocals/guitar work are superb, and after weeks of work on it by Nad, of course it's a co-write.
In Sept. 05 the song was linked to a Charity working to build a Children's Hospital in Sri Lanka.

Lyrics
We pray for answers as we look up to the sky,
There are no answers but we cant help asking why
Deep in the ocean,
An earthquake made its roar,
Against all the innocent,
It waged its war.
Chorus
As the tidal wave rolled in
The tidal wave rolled in
The tragedy unfurled
A wave of sorrow round the world.
We search for answers as we look up to the sky,
There are no answers?but we keep on asking why
Where are the people?.where did they all go
Where are the children? taken by the flow
Chorus
As the tidal wave rolled in,
The tidal wave rolled in,
The water flowed so tall,
And we cant make sense of it at all.
Homes were crumbled
By the power of the wave,
Thousands of voices
Were calling to be saved
As the tidal wave rolled in,
The tidal wave rolled in,
It changed a million lives,
And we need to pray for them tonight.
As the tidal wave rolled in,
The tidal wave rolled in,
The tragedy unfurled,
A wave of sorrow round the world.
