Cloud (Ukulele Version)

This is a song I wrote several years ago and was covered by Lance Cyrlin whose 12 string guitar version filled my heart with joy. I redid this for Ukulele, changing it from C to D major.

There is a cloud in heaven
let peace be your blanket,
let love be your friend.

I'd like to turn you in to water.
I'd like to swim in your sea.
I'd like to turn you into water,
so I could drink you inside of me.

But you're on one side of the ocean
and I'm on this side of the sea.
I can only speak with this emotion,
when you are safe away from me.

There is a cloud in heaven.
There is a cloud in heaven.
Let peace be your blanket,
let love set us free.
