About the song
We were all on a single decker number 2a bus to Cutteslowe. Frank, Mick, Binky, the Sarge, Whale and Opah - when suddenly Edgar Winter came through the window on a tartan skateboard and showed us a short cut to the Raddy where we all proceeded to continue to live in the past. This song is about Christmas.
Lyrics
Just one of the millions
I grit my teeth
The sky above us and
The earth beneath
I rest the photo on my knees
in real life you look much fatter
I stare unblinking at the soil
A red hot feeling in my bladder
Shine a light on me...

I put on my balaclave
Hold tight to my balaclava
Mount Etna's molten lava
Won't burn my balaclava

One grain of truth
On a beach of lies
Tears are falling
From my eyes
Mad grappling on the rough terrain
Can't sort the good men from the bad
I stare unblinking at the soil
an empty feeling in my head
Shine a light on me...

I put on my balaclava...etc

(Balaclava - what a palaver!)
Mummy prays that I'm not shot away
And that I'm not gay
'Cause it would be a tragedy
For the entire family
Oh I hope they don't take away
Balaclava...

I rest the good book on my knees
Sort out the demons from the Gods
I stare unblinking at the soil
A red hot feeling in my guts
Shine a light on me...
