About the song
The bulk of this song, verse and chorus, was written by me back in 2001 as an instrumental piece meant for two guitars. Early 2009, Matt accepts to do the vocals, so I expanded the song structure adding a bridge section too. Matt wrote nearly all of the lyrics and played all drums. Myself on guitars, vst bass and arrangement.
Lyrics
"So come,
They say it’s getting late
You'd better wait
Stay,
It’s once upon a time
It’s yours and mine

Freely falling far within the fond forbidden fruit
So I say you’re not alone, sky and sand for you

Come,
The island and the bridge
The sun in me
Stay,
The world outside ignore
Forevermore

Drifting through a daring dance defying gravity
Wildly watch will-o’-the-wisp, illusive fantasy

Take our time,
The answer and our wine,
tasting yours and mine.

So come, don't let it get away
We have to take
Hold on the water and the sky
For you and I

And it's so long to city song
Yes it's so long to city song
The answer and our wine
So long to city song
Tasting your and mine".
