Some days life in Mississippi is little more than 'suckin' on boiled peanuts and drinkin' sweet tea' I love IT!

About the song
Moved to Mississippi about 5 years ago. I could never be happy in any other state. I love and live and breath the Blues. Mississippi IS the state for me.
Lyrics
Down in Mississippi
Where cotton grows tall.
You get arrested for trouble
They gonna call the huntin' dogs

Cuz your down in Mississippi
Where cotton grows tall
On the the other hand
Bo weevils down here
Wear overalls

Go to work in the mornin', you know
At the crow of the cock
If that mule don't holler well,
I don't know when to stop

Cuz I'm down in Mississippi
I sure ain't in Kansas anymore
On there other hand babe
Bo weevils down here where overalls

(spoken 'Let me tell you about it')
instrumental once around

Go to church in mornin' you know,
Down the railroad tracks
Later over in the evenin'
Bring the preacher back
Well he eats up all the chicken right up to the neck
Look over at my sweet little Brenda Kaye
And he eats up all the rest
Cuz we were down in Mississippi
Suckin' on boiled peanuts and drinkin' sweet tea
On the the other hand babe, Living down here in
Mississippi sure enough is all right with me.

(spoken 'Let me tell you about it')
instrumental once around

Down in Mississippi where, where Little Charlie lives.
I got the blues in my soul, I got some blues music to give.
Cuz I'm down in Mississippi I ain't in Wyandotte county Kansas anymore
On the other hand, I ain't movin' around now anymore.
