About the song
This piece is reflecting how people can just use other people and not even think twice about how that bully kind of relationship is affecting the person who is holding the ground under the abusers feet. It's almost like how they always said you don't know what you have until it's gone. It's even worse when the abuser seems to think that you have nothing to offer this world when he/she really means their little cubical of life that they are stuck in.

Lyrics
I gave everything I could
And never quite understood
Why it was always my fault
We never rose from our halt
Now it's time to move on
I'm going to seek a new dawn
Where light might always shine
And patience isn't just mine
I couldn't breathe for life
Without feeling close to death
To you I was never right
Oblivious to what was left
Never offered advice
Never tried to write
I'm obviously uninspired
You oblivious to my desire
Always overlooked
No thanks for what you took
A condescending smile
Just wasn't worth my while
And never quite understood
Why it was always my fault
We never rose from our halt
Now it's time to move on
I'm going to seek a new dawn
Where light might always shine
And patience isn't just mine
I couldn't breathe for life
Without feeling close to death
To you I was never right
Oblivious to what was left
Never offered advice
Never tried to write
I'm obviously uninspired
You oblivious to my desire
Always overlooked
No thanks for what you took
A condescending smile
Just wasn't worth my while
