Hemlock
Recorded at Soundforce Studios (www.soundforcestudios.com); Featuring Paul Alvaran on drums.
Starts off dark and slow, then picks up rather suddently and frantically. Rather angry and pretty creepy.

About the song
M. was driving home from practice one night when she seemingly channeled a witch who'd been burned at the stake - the idea for the song came and she wrote the bulk of the lyrics and music in one sitting. Save the climax, for which the music eluded us for quite some time (and still does to a point - we've modified that part since the recording) the song has stayed true to its original form.
Lyrics
Canine fanged rabbits that will eat your soul while you're alive they can't even see what's real coz all they know are lies. Violent hypocrisy that grabs my neck and stings my eyes I will never be like you my ashes will rise! "Bible guide tyrant hides behind a mask of purity," he thinks he knows what's best for me. I am heresy.
They come at night with fire in hand A shudder spreads across the land. Into your homes they're sure to come, you can't hide so how long can you run? (Tied to this stake the fire spreads this is the hour I dread They heckle her and spit on her, beating off for savage murder, calling her names like witch and whore watching the flames and wanting more). I hear her scream and start to sweat, hoping that I wont be next.
Father doesn't really know the hand he plays as death tolls and slowly as the truth unfolds innocent lives to the church are sold. She sees the truth peeking through dark shadows and she knows the mask of piety they wear reveals a zealot glow. Condemned to death for harming nothing but their prideful thoughts. Corruption fuels the gush of blood that innocents have lost.
Their nectar is sweet ignorance that believes the end of days is near, feeding followers thoughts of shame that poison hearts with fear. His blood we're supposed to drink supposed key to our eternity while the wise old woman is said to bleed that dirty blood of witchery. They say the old ones burn in hell for weaving ancient pagan spells with valiant women from time before the earth was stained with hate and war.
