About the song
This was my first decent MIDI tune after I had played with CakeWalk for a few years. I did it in about 1998, and I refined it and added the guitar lead in 2007. I wish I had saved the original MIDI project file, but I've started so many tunes that I've had to open up storage space by spending hours transferring and deleting tunes. This one got lost.
Dr. Chang was one of the scientists at Worcester (MA) Foundation For Experimental Biology who was credited with inventing the birth control pill. We used to see him walking to work when we were on the school bus going to middle school in Shrewsbury. His wife was the libriarian at Shrewsbury High School. Every fifteen minutes or so she would shriek, "Silence..." at the top of her lungs. I'll never forget Dr. Chang walking in his long raincoat.
