Laid-back vocal - mixing my electronica background with a vocal and some subtle guitar work from a friend.

About the song
So I imagined what it might be like to be able to sit down and talk with Lucifer himself, to tell him exactly what I thought of him... only I'm a repressed Englishman, so it's going to be polite and wordy! :o)

It rather helped matters that I was still bitter and twisted having split up with my fiance a year or two before writing this - so there was plenty to draw on!
Lyrics
I've been walking on through the darkest path,
The nights were long and the days so sad.
I've been wondering why I should talk with you.
After all the lies, I just want the truth.
I remember then how it used to be,
So much more with you and me.
Then I found you out for who you really are,
And what you really want to do with me
When you're done.

How can I change sing a song of love?
Tell me why, why should I,
Turn to you? After all,
You, you are my source of pain;
To try again would be the same.
Why should I come running to you?

I was feeling alone, desperate for love,
When you came by to take away my life.
I was hungry for the worldly things,
And you gladly showed me the way.
Then I saw the light and it showed you as,
The fake that you are.
Then I saw that all you had said to me,
Was nothing but lies in the dawn of my faith.

How can I, sing a song of love?
Tell me why, why should I,
Turn to you? After all,
You, you are my source of pain;
To try again would be the same,
Why should I, come running to you?

How can I change your mind with a song?
Oh, why? Why must I,
Talk with you, to prove you wrong?
Oh you, you can take all the blame,
For all the lies and all the shame.
Why should I, come running to you?
Why should I, come running to you?
