About the song
Conceived April 1989 This is Take 1 Mix 2 (Digital Archive mix from Sonar 8.5 March 2011) Recorded April 1989 Yamaha MT-100
Long before all the Orchestral stuff...........way before having even a REAL microphone..............or a REAL acoustic guitar.............the starting point of my first Acoustic version of "HMKS".5 tracks total, with Two RG's (one tuned down a whole step & playing open inversion chords) on a mono track, then LG,HLG,& Slide.Cheap ass Harmony Folk guitar with an even CHEAPER Radio Shack condenser Mic taped in the sound-hole of the guitar;can't remember if I had any FX pedals patched in when I did this, might have been a Graph.EQ &/or Compressor, but it sounds like it might be none! Archived this take direct from the original 4tx. csst.master into Sonar (transferring 2 tracks at a time),then had to do A LOT of "nudging" around & splitting the clips due to the inherent analog pitch fluctuations, but perverse perseverance pays off in the end!! No post facto EQ or other FX in the Sonar version, just the way it sounded when originally recorded 22 years ago!
