About the song
Live at the Blarney Stone coffeehouse, Michigan City, IN, 1973.
I wrote this the previous summer at Indiana State University as the score for a student film project. The Hillbilly in the song was a kid from Kentucky who was my roommate for the summer - he called himself a hillbilly, played cards, and starred in the film.
I have the 8mm edited footage of this film somewhere --- maybe I will convert this and put it on YouTube someday.
Recorded with my Superscope cassette recorder sitting on a coffeehouse table. Mastered in SONAR with UAD-1 Precision Equalizer and Limiter.
