About the song
Their “A Nor’easter Christmasâ€쳌 song wasn’t originally conceived as a Christmas song at all, but simply as a “girl ditches boyâ€쳌 tune, based simply on the first line: "I'm in Massachusetts, you're in Los Angeles / checked every map I could find and there ain't nothin' in between us."

A Nor'easter Christmas – Don’t expect a Christmas album from the SUFFERING CLONES anytime soon. Their “A Nor’easter Christmasâ€쳌 song wasn’t originally conceived as a Christmas song at all, but simply as a “girl ditches boyâ€쳌 tune, based simply on the first line: "I'm in Massachusetts, you're in Los Angeles / checked every map I could find and there ain't nothin' in between us." However, during the songwriting process, the idea developed to have the singer relay a tale about writing a Christmas card to his ex-girlfriend while being evicted from his home (during a Nor’easter winter storm) (and, as fate would have it, on Christmas day). A bit unorthodox—with its pounding guitar and a punk+comedic edge—but appropriate for the circumstances and a great tune for a stormy winter’s night.
