About the song
The track itself inspired me to write about a streak of nightmares I had been having. Some of them happened at different times, but I have streaks where I'll have memorable nightmares a few nights in a row and they just stick around. I was hangin' out in the French Quarters one night, eatin' and drinkin' good, and I think i took some bad spirits (literally and figuratively) home that night. The dream that night was one long nightmare.
