About the song
The factory that I work in has lost over 1800 jobs due to NAFTA and "down-sizing". Once you figure out that Curry Pike is a street name, this one's self-explanatory lol.
Lyrics
CURRY PIKE BLUES

V1>
I been workin’ in the factory, been workin’ all through the day
Been workin’ in the factory, been workin’ all through the day
I got the Curry pike blues and there ain’t much more to say

V2>
Hard to do your job when the bosses get in the way
Hard to do your job when the bosses get in the way

I got the Curry pike blues and there ain’t much more to say

Bridge>
Well I get in and I clock in go to work right away
Sweat my Ass off just to earn my pay
I got the Curry pike blues and there ain’t much more to say
If I could find a better job I’d be leavin’ right away

V3>
They’re movin’ jobs to Mexico a place that’s far away
They’re movin’ jobs to Mexico a place that’s far away
I got the Curry pike blues and there ain’t much more to say

V4>
I’m a member of a Union and they want a bigger chunk of my pay
I’m a member of a Union and they want a bigger chunk of my pay
I got the Curry pike blues and there ain’t much more to say
