About the song
I wanted to write a song about Heaven, because I think, its good to think about our future home and the Person whom we meet there. And I think its good to sing about Heaven in hospitals and nursing homes so that people get thirsty after God and maybe begin to desire Jesus into their lives. Heaven is a wonderful place, but the most glorious thing is to look at the loving eyes of Jesus and hear Him say: welcome home! My friend Marja made a wonderful composition. This song was performed by the Finnish Greater Grace Choir and was recorded live at our new years seminar 30.12.2007.
Lyrics
TAIVASLAULU
(Perustuu Ilmestyskirjan 22:1-4 sanoihin)
san. Lea Alaja 2006, säv. Marja Väisänen 2007

1. On kirkas kristallivirta
on siellä elämän puu,
Jumalan valtaistuin,
sen eteen mä polvistun.

Ei enää kuolemaa,
ei yötä, ei ahdistusta,
ei pimeyttä, vaivojakaan,
vaan rauhaa, rakkautta.

Kerto:
Saan nähdä Kuninkaani,
saan nähdä Vapahtajani,
saan nähdä Jeesukseni,
saan nähdä Lunastajani.

2. On siellä kultaiset kadut.
on kaupunki ihmeellinen,
Karitsan valkeudessa
saan nähdä mä valkeuden.

Hän pyyhkii kyyneleeni,
Hän murheeni karkoittaa.
Hän kaiken luo uudeksi,
ja luonaan olla mä saan.

Kerto 2:
Nyt näen kirkkautensa,
nyt ymmärrän rakkautensa.
Ain´ kiitän Jeesustani,
ain´ ylistän Jumalaani.

SONG OF HEAVEN
(based on the words of Revelation 22:1-4)
words: Lea Alaja 2006, music: Marja Väisänen 2007

1. There´s the clear stream of chrystal,
there´s the tree of life
and the throne of God,
I bow down before it.

There´s no more death,
no night, no anxiety,
no darkness, no trouble,
only peace and love.

Chorus 1:
I can see my King,
I can see my Savior,
I can see my Jesus,
I can see my Redeemer.

2. There are golden streets,
there´s a wonderful city.
In the light of the Lamb
I can see the light.

He will wipe out my tears,
He will dispel my sorrow,
He will make everything new
and I can be with Him always.

Chorus 2:
Now I see His glory.
now I understand His love.
Always I thank my Jesus,
always I praise my God
