My wife and I went to a conference in '99 and on the drive home, this song came to me directly - I recorded it into my pocket recorder, while calling out the cord changes between lines.

In November '99, Karen and I attended the Shiloh "Equipping the Prophetic" Conference at Metro Christian Center in Kansas City, MO. It was a wonderful weekend of worship, encouragement, and prayer. On the 2nd day of the conference, all church worship leaders were asked to come forward for prayer. Karen and I went up to the altar where about 100 of us were prayed over, with the laying on of hands for leading worship, and writing worship music. I was deeply moved that the sister who prayed for me asked the Lord to heal my hand of carpel-tunnel syndrome. I did not ask her to pray for my hand, she prayed by word of knowledge from the Holy Spirit. It was incredible.

Driving home, the chords, melody and 2 verses of this song came to me. I grabbed my micro cassette recorder and taped what I was hearing. Over Christmas break, I put the song on the shelf and forgot about it. Recently, 2 of my prophetic friends, who knew nothing about the song, spoke words of prophecy to me about "bringing down the walls of Jericho", and about the "shield of faith and sword of the Spirit". I took their prophecies as a reminder of the song, and encouragement to get it out into the body of Christ.
