About the song
This song initially only had the synths and cold percussion. After trying to find a sound that I like for leads and failing. I finally decided that I would used a guitar instead. Deftones being a major influence, I decided I would try to incorporate their guitar sound. Once completed it was beckoning for some vocals. I didn't have the space to record the vocals until about five or six months later. The vocals were laid down and this was the first time Psychosis Formatted had left the instrumental phase. I'm not much of a singer and listening to alot of heavier stuff than my material I decided why not scream into the mic. Overall I think it sounds alot better than it would have if I had the ability to sing. Lyrically, it doesn't have a traditional structure. I just jotted down a few lines about my view of the coporate world.
Lyrics
I try to grasp the concepts of humanity
It's so fictitious, everyone is so surreal
Driven by profits which defile
As corruption consumes the globe
Where geniune emotions no longer exist
Can we mend this fracture we refuse to see
Can we repair this state of mind
Which ignorance has claimed to be
Never have we looked upon ourselves with humilty
Never have we seen the damage, the cost of our future
An irreparable path we take
Society doesn't realize humanity's pains and aches
Corrosion eats at this world until it's too late
Doomsday has sealed mankind's fate
It's so fictitious, everyone is so surreal
Driven by profits which defile
As corruption consumes the globe
Where geniune emotions no longer exist
Can we mend this fracture we refuse to see
Can we repair this state of mind
Which ignorance has claimed to be
Never have we looked upon ourselves with humilty
Never have we seen the damage, the cost of our future
An irreparable path we take
Society doesn't realize humanity's pains and aches
Corrosion eats at this world until it's too late
Doomsday has sealed mankind's fate
