I BET you will yahooo like a bathtub as soon as you hear the first few bars of this delightful knees up. If you don't, baby you have no heart. What a great barrelhouse blues this is and I do know the genre well enough to say that and be able to back it up with examples. You could go into any bar south of the Mason Dixon line (or more specifically any bar on Bourbon Street) and hear music as authentic as this.

It's gotta be a hell of a jaw dropper when you take into account where BSB hail from. Bolton, the Pearl Grit of the North, home of Peter Kay, the man, the legend. Rather a long way from the swamps of Louisiana what? That'd be right chuck, and it don't come no finer than this.
As I say, I don't always like this genre but every once in a while it will throw up a winner - and this is it.
Most highly recommended for that inner cowboy in us all.

Lyrics
Melancholy baby…let’s sing the
Melancholy country blues,
Let’s diffuse all the bad times,
I’m melancholy too.

Melancholy baby…let’s sing the
Melancholy country blues,
Put yourself in my shoes,
I’m melancholy too.

Let’s be sad, it’s so bad, let’s just sit and cry,
Let it go, let it out, it’s what this melancholy evenin’s all about.

Let’s sit by the fire and turn the hi-fi higher
With the saddest songs we’ve found,
Let’s sit by the fire and turn the hi-fi higher ,
So the sad stories go round and round,
Round and round and round.

Melancholy baby…let’s sing the melancholy country blues,
Let’s diffuse all the bad times, I’m melancholy too.
Melancholy baby…let’s sing the melancholy country blues,
Put yourself in my shoes, I’m melancholy too.

I can see you’re down like me,
Let’s have a bottle of wine,
I can see you’re down like me,
But our troubles will go in time.

Let’s raid the fridge, find the jambalaya dish
And stuff ourselves with food,
Deep in talk, deep in thought,
The jambalaya will help to melt away,
To melt away… this melancholy mood

Oh, Melancholy baby…let’s sing the melancholy country blues,
Let’s diffuse all the bad times, I’m melancholy too.
Melancholy baby…let’s sing the melancholy country blues,
Put yourself in my shoes, I’m melancholy,
I’m melancholy, I’m melancholy too.
