About the song
Just a sweet, romantic 3/4 Country Ballad, sung by Sarah White.
It was one of the first songs I wrote, and as with some of the others, I have a new bridge ready for anyone wishing to use it.

Lyrics
Lyrics
Let’s sit on a blanket overlookin’ the bay,
And watch all the seabirds and dolphins at play,
Let’s dine on strawberries, kisses and wine,
We don’t have a lot but we’ve plenty of time.
The sunset over High Ridge is something they say,
Like the mist in the morning that covers the bay,
The colours in the canyon at sunrise are bright,
It’s not far to go, we could be there tonight.
CHORUS
Let’s pick up the pieces and get back on line
With a blanket a picnic and strawberry wine,
Go down in the valley where the grasshoppers dance,
Let’s unwind by the river and give love a chance.
Let’s lie in the shade of the sycamore tree,
And carve our initials as though we’re thirteen,
Love’s not illusive if we just take care,
I’ll always love you I’ll always be there.
Let’s drive to the mountains watch the eagles fly free,
And make it our aim to make sweet memories,
I’ll go anywhere if it means you will stay,
We can fly up to Mars and be back in a day.
CHORUS
Let’s pick up the pieces and get back on line
With a blanket a picnic and strawberry wine,
Go down in the valley where the grasshoppers dance,
Let’s unwind by the river and give love a chance.
Let’s pick up the pieces and get back on line
With a blanket a picnic and strawberry wine,
Go down in the valley where the grasshoppers dance,
Let’s unwind by the river and give love a chance.
Let’s unwind by the river and give love a chance.
