What inspired this song:
I attend a small group meeting every Sunday. We basically share about our lives and have discussions about the bible. There was one Sunday which I felt a conviction to share something very personal, very controversial, but extremely essential for the well being of the others there. And I remember the paranoia I had, as I was walking to the place. I envisioned the mockery, the judging eyes, the words that dont flow smoothly. It was the plaguing visions that was adding a tremendous burden to me. After the event, nothing bad happened. Everybody was fine and all. So I realised that a lot of times, the negative plaguing visions of the future affects greatly on what we set out to do. On whether we actually do it, or follow through with what we started. So, during those moments, I found it very helpful when I made my heart obey my head. To put away the natural emotional instinct to run away from fear, and replace it with the logical point of, if not now, when?. Hence, courage dont last forever.
