About the song
One day my wife asked me for a tune that would help her memorise this scripture (Phil 4:8) and this was the tune that I got. I then realised that verse 9 fitted the same tune with very little adjustment. That's the story.
Lyrics
Whatever is true, whatever is honourable,
whatever is just, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious,
if there is then anything of excellence,
and if there is anything that's worthy of praise,
think about these things,
think about these things.
Whatever you've learned,
whatever that you've received,
whatever you've heard from me,
whatever you've seen in me,
put it in to practise
and the God of Peace will be with you.
Whatever is true, whatever is honourable,
whatever is just, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious,
if there is then anything of excellence,
and if there is anything that's worthy of praise,
think about these things,
think about these things.
Whatever you've learned,
whatever that you've received,
whatever you've heard from me,
whatever you've seen in me,
put it in to practise
and the God of Peace will be with you.
Whatever you've learned,
whatever that you've received,
whatever you've heard from me,
whatever you've seen in me,
put it in to practise
and the God of Peace will be with you.
whatever is just, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious,
if there is then anything of excellence,
and if there is anything that's worthy of praise,
think about these things,
think about these things.
Whatever you've learned,
whatever that you've received,
whatever you've heard from me,
whatever you've seen in me,
put it in to practise
and the God of Peace will be with you.
Whatever is true, whatever is honourable,
whatever is just, whatever is pure,

Whatever you've learned,
