About the song
Friend owes me money. Finally gets around to paying me back. Leaves classic message on my answering machine. "Brother, dearest -- the eagle has descended and has decided to leave a little clump in your honor." (Refer to Stormy Monday.) And he actually paid me back. Then he stole my shekere. But I have his voice in this music. Fair trade. After Sept. 11 there a whole new meaning to the clump that the eagle will deliver.
