This year our Troop will begin the tradition of having a Scout who makes Eagle pass down an Eagle Coin to a younger Scout who he intends to assist along the Trail.

The Coin will 'die' if the younger scout does not make Eagle, so both Scouts must be committed to pursuing Eagle, the older one from the aspect of a mentor.

This idea is DYNAMITE, as it keeps your Eagle Scouts involved with the troop after they have left, until the younger scout Eagles.

It means a higher percentage of your scouts will Eagle and stay on helping the younger scouts. This fits in well with the concept of the 'Mentor Pin' as well, since an Eagling Scout can give the Mentor pin to his Eagle Benefactor.

Young Scout, I have watched since you started the trail,
