About the song
I was an"over the road" truck driver for many years, and wrote this song while behind the wheel of a MACK truck. Mack's logo or mascot is a bulldog. Each truck has a figurine of a bulldog on the nose of the truck. TRUCKERSPEAK,"got her tail twisted up tight". talks of the "bulldog", the truck, and has the throttle wide open, "tail twisted up tight", to make the truck go faster. "nose in the wind", means "headed down the highway, got places to go"..catchin' on yet? I knew you would...(grin) "pulls air horn chord!" hahaha.
