About the song
I was about 20yrs old when it all started making sense to me. I had faith, but i didn't show it. I transferred colleges to A&M Commerce in Texas. I thank God for allowing me to meet my brothers Bartos and Rupert there. Watching them stand for Christ was an inspiration to me, and helped me grow up. They also introduced me to the Orange County Supertones.

This song is about conversion. Whether its going from zero faith in Jesus to faith in Him, or its going from a "going through the motions" faith to a "walk the walk" faith, at some point we have to be converted. Read about Saul/Paul in the bible in the book of Acts ch 9. Now that was a conversion.
Lyrics
You came and you woke me up
From my twenty year old slump
Outside I looked grown up
But inside I wasn’t
Rubbing my eyes I was halfway blind
Choking back tears and
Thinking ‘bout dying
Waiting for someone to wake me up
Telling me it was over
But it was just the beginning
I saw the light
I saw the other side
I went from dark to light
Now peace and quiet is inside of me
And I won’t deny
My sins have been crucified
And like the thief upon the cross
I stand by the Savior’s side
Once upon a time
I flatlined
But You came and You breathed
In me new life

You opened me up You looked inside
You got further than anyone who had
Ever tried
I’d been exposed and I had nothing
Nothing left to hide
From You
I saw the light
I saw the other side
I went from dark to light
Now peace and quiet is inside of me
And I won’t deny
My sins have been crucified
And like the thief upon the cross
I stand by the Savior’s side
Once upon a time
I flatlined
But You came and You breathed
In me new life
You found me in the nick of time
You saved me from a flatline broken heart
I had flatlined
