About the song
Everyone has had sleepless nights. I call it God induced insomnia. God is trying to get us from "point A" to "point B" because He knows whats best for us. However, we're just not wanting to let go of "point A."
In the process of getting us where He wants us, it can be pretty rough. Especially when we resist Him. Yes, there will be lots of tests and trials, but when He gets us there, we realize He knew what He was doing after all. To anyone fighting addiction, hang in there and seek God.
Lyrics

My adrenaline won’t go down
My heart it keeps on poundin’
“Don’t look so uptight”
They think I’m grounded
This circus goes on inside
I’m not sleepy its past midnight
I want to give up this fight
But You will not let me
It didn’t seem real
‘til You bought me here to heal
A bitter pill to swallow
But now I’m following Your will

How many days have been wasted
How many days have gone by
Will you be a man and face it
Or look in the mirror and lie
And this circus goes on inside
You’re not sleepy its past midnight
Surrender it all tonight
Jesus is waiting for you
It didn’t seem real
‘til You bought me here to heal
A bitter pill to swallow
But now I’m following Your will

You know me
Lord, You know me
You know me better than
I know me
